About our client

Good Things Foundation is on a mission to close the digital divide for good. Through a vast network of hubs and community organisations, they provide essential services to a diverse range of beneficiaries—from older adults to young people who are still building their digital skills, including many for whom English isn’t their first language.

Our role was twofold: first, to help measure the impact of their incredible work, and second, to explore innovative data collection methods that could boost engagement across their wide network of stakeholders.

What We Did

We started by grounding the research in Good Things Foundation’s Theory of Change, ensuring every step aligned with their mission. From there, we conducted over 30 in-depth interviews with hub leaders, sourced respondents across their ecosystem, and designed surveys that garnered over 500 responses. Using this data, we collaborated closely to craft a comprehensive impact report.

But we didn’t stop there—we also piloted innovative approaches like classroom research and voice research, alongside traditional surveys and interviews, to identify the most effective methods for engaging different stakeholder groups.

What Tectonic delivered

Our work not only deepened the understanding of Good Things Foundation’s impact across all beneficiary groups but also delivered a scalable, cost-effective, and repeatable framework for collecting representative and accurate data.

This approach ensures Good Things Foundation can continuously measure and demonstrate their impact on diverse user groups. We shared these findings with key stakeholders, providing actionable insights to shape their future strategy and approaches.
